Basketball Recap: Granville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Granville unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 46-31 fall against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs. The Blue Aces were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Whitney Passen was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Sorrell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Granville's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Bloom-Carroll, their record now sits at 5-7.

Granville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-32 victory against Zanesville on the 18th. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will head out to take on Liberty Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
