Softball Recap: Mccutcheon Falls Short of Harrison in the Playoffs

McCutcheon and Harrison squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but McCutcheon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-1. The Mavericks haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Haley Peterson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed over her last five games.

McCutcheon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

McCutcheon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harrison, they will take on Kokomo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildkats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
