Basketball Recap: Nodaway Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Union last Tuesday, Nodaway Valley came back down to earth. The Nodaway Valley Wolverines had to suffer through a 82-52 loss at the hands of the Clarinda Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-52 last Tuesday.

Nodaway Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Clarinda, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Nodaway Valley has already played their next matchup, a 65-64 defeat against Central Decatur on the 7th. As for Clarinda, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals duke it out with the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Clarinda knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Creston likes a good challenge.
