The Clearwater Fightin' Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Woodland Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Clearwater sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Eminence.

Meanwhile, Woodland can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over Advance. The Cardinals' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Connor Rhodes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ike Landewee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Clearwater's victory bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 2-12.
