Walled Lake Western came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Kettering Captains, falling 54-34. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Captains recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Walled Lake Western's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Kettering, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Walled Lake Western and Kettering could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Walled Lake Western (ranked 575th) will meet South Lyon (ranked 59th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kettering will square off against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 203 places (361 vs. 158).
