Baker extends road losing streak to six

Recap: Baker Buffaloes vs. Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers

This season hasn't been kind to the Baker Buffaloes, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were dealt a 70-23 loss at the hands of Woodlawn-B.R. on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Baker has scored all season.

Christian Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodlawn-B.R., scoring 23 points. The match was Johnson's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Knox was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Baker's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Woodlawn-B.R., the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Baker's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northeast on December 28th. Northeast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Baker in Louisiana (Northeast is ranked 165th, while Baker is ranked 374th). Woodlawn-B.R. will finish 2023 at home by hosting Mentorship Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
