2A-2 Region II District 7 recap September 10, 2013
Jefferson Ballard and Lee Mata provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Prairiland. The connection was good for 58 yards, the longest such play in 2A-2 Region II District 7 this season.
S & S Consolidated moved up to 817 from 1,012 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams climbed the ranks as a result of beating Collinsville 41-19.
Tom Bean's dynamic duo of Hunter Book and Daniel Jackson proved to be unstoppable against Wolfe City, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Book threw for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns and Jackson had 90 yards receiving. Dalton Blassinsame helped Tom Bean's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 70 yards.
The Tomcats' dynamic duo of Book and Jackson proved tough for the Wolves to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Jackson was the best receiver in the league this week as Tom Bean lost to Wolfe City.
Book put up the best numbers in passing as Allen Cross' team lost to Travis Smith's team.
He was 15-28 with 1 interceptions.
Ben Herman was the best running back in 2A-2 Region II District 7 this week. He ran for 61 yards on 14 carries as Whitewright fell to the Wolves. Ballard also contributed to the rushing game with 15 yards on the ground.
Leonard took down Honey Grove 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
