Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Cornerstone Charter Academy

Cornerstone Charter Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Faith Christian Lions 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Ducks: when they faced off against the Lions last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-8.

William Gough paced Cornerstone Charter Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Gough got some help from Hiro Kato and his 16 assists. Liam Dinsmore controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cornerstone Charter Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Faith Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Cornerstone Charter Academy will venture away from home to challenge Orlando Science at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ducks are facing the Orcas at the right time seeing as the Orcas are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Pinecrest Lakes Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
