Softball Recap: Marlboro Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Monday just wasn't the day for Marlboro Academy's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Dillon Christian Warriors on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Thursday.

Marlboro Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Dillon Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marlboro Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thomas Sumter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on April 30th. As for Dillon Christian, they will square off against Florence Christian at 6:30 p.m. on March 11th. Dillon Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
