North Iowa is 8-2 against Lake Mills since June of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bison are taking a road trip to  face off against the Bulldogs  at 6:00  p.m. North Iowa has given up an average of 8.2  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.

 Meanwhile, Lake Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of North Union. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Bulldogs have suffered  since June 24, 2024.
 North Iowa's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-4. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Mills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
 Everything went North Iowa's way against Lake Mills in their previous matchup  back in June of 2024, as North Iowa made off with  a  13-2 win. Will the Bison repeat their success,  or do  the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
