Somerset has gone 8-2 against Bedford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bisons at 4:30 p.m. Somerset will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Somerset needed a bit of extra time to put away Westmont Hilltop. They had just enough and edged out the Hilltoppers 7-6.

Kellan Hagans was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Stoy, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Bedford hadn't done well against Forest Hills recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bisons came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bisons in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won three in a row.
Aspen Anderson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Bedford's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-2 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Anderson wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gaston Watkins, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
Somerset's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Bedford, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Everything went Somerset's way against Bedford when the teams last played back in April, as Somerset made off with an 11-4 win. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bisons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
