Baseball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West had lost nine straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-24 to make it ten. They lost 11-1 to the Tracy Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on Monday.

West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Mendez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Tracy, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-18. 11 seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Tracy's side, Logan Contreras looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Contreras posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, AJ Saenz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Brady Brown was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tracy beat West by a score of 12-2 on Wednesday.
