Soccer Game Preview: St. Luke's Episcopal vs. Shades Valley

The St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats will take on the Shades Valley Mounties in a tournament on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

St. Luke's Episcopal is headed into the match having not lost since February 18 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Spanish Fort could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Shades Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Mounties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 40th).

St. Luke's Episcopal's draw gives them a new season record of 7-3-2. As for Shades Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.
