Whitmer and Maumee are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. Whitmer will head out to face off against Maumee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whitmer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitmer duked it out with Northview on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 8-3 to the Wildcats. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Isreal Rickner made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Maumee waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Rockets.

Maumee's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Whitmer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Whitmer's way against Maumee in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Whitmer made off with a 9-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitmer since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
