Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Comes Up Short

Carlsbad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hobbs Eagles. While losing is never fun, Carlsbad can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Hobbs are ranked ninth).

Carlsbad's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-3. As for Hobbs, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

As of now, neither Carlsbad nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
