Baseball Recap: Coral Shores Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Coral Shores's win against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coral Shores Hurricanes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now won eight in a row.

Donovan Thiery made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maykol Bonito, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was AJ Putetti, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
