Soccer Game Preview: Boerne vs. Pieper

The Boerne Greyhounds will venture away from home to square off against the Pieper Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boerne is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Boerne didn't have quite enough to beat Alamo Heights and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Boerne have lost by just one goal.

Pieper, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 8th and they too continued that trend. They and Alamo Heights finished up their contest with a 3-3 draw on Friday. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Pieper got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

Boerne's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-2. Pieper's draw makes their record 14-2-5 this season.

Boerne suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Pieper when the teams last played back in February. Can the Greyhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
