Softball Recap: Morgan County Cougars vs. East Carter Raiders
Morgan County had lost ten straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 5-26 to make it 11. They came up short against the East Carter Raiders, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-0 loss back in April.
As for East Carter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.1 runs.
For East Carter's part, Allie Felty and Adriana Cordle did most of the damage at the plate: Felty went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Cordle went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
