Basketball Recap: Ralston Takes a Loss

Ralston's game on Friday was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Gross Catholic Cougars by a score of 53-50. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Ralston still got an impressive performance from Lamar Rucker, who went 7 of 11 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Conner Brown, who posted nine points.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 2-5. As for Gross Catholic, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6.

Ralston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-26 loss against Concordia on the 21st. As for Gross Catholic, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Neumann on January 3, 2025.
