Basketball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost to the Wylie Bulldogs on the road by a 58-42 margin. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-26 back in January.

Cooper's record is now 8-17. As for Wylie, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cooper will welcome Abilene at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wylie, they will venture away from home to challenge Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Legacy has won eight straight at home, while Wylie won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
