Softball Recap: Amsterdam Comes Up Short

Amsterdam fell victim to South Glens Falls and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since April 22nd.

Leila Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

Amsterdam's record now sits at 7-13. As for South Glens Falls, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

As of now, neither Amsterdam nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
