Basketball Game Preview: Plymouth Panthers vs. Waupun Warriors

The Plymouth Panthers will challenge the Waupun Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Plymouth comes in on three and Waupun on five.

Plymouth will head into Saturday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 43) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Wauwatosa East, sneaking past 89-86. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Waupun hadn't done well against Kettle Moraine Lutheran recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Waupun secured a 72-68 W over Kettle Moraine Lutheran.

Plymouth pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Waupun, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Plymouth, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 80-64 loss to Waupun when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
