Basketball Game Preview: Barnsdall Panthers vs. Pawhuska Huskies

The Barnsdall Panthers will face off against the Pawhuska Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Barnsdall challenged Woodland two weeks ago. Barnsdall took a 50-32 bruising from Woodland. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Pawhuska opened the new year with a less-than-successful 59-46 defeat to Glenpool.

Despite the loss, Pawhuska saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jenson Snodgrass posted 13 points. Dax Godsey was another key player, putting up ten points.

Barnsdall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pawhuska, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
