Softball Recap: Huntington Huntsmen vs. Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays
The Huntington Huntsmen didn't have quite enough to beat the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Huntsmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gracie Slaughter was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Allie Baker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Huntington's record is now 11-14. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.
