Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jenks). Their defense stepped up to hand the Ponca City Wildcats a 7-0 shutout on Friday. Jenks haven't had any issues with Ponca City recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jenks' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. As for Ponca City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jenks will challenge rival Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ponca City is set to face off against their familiar foe Piedmont at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
