Football Recap: Gouverneur Takes a Loss

Gouverneur had taken Ogdensburg Free Academy down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Wildcats took a blow against the Blue Devils, falling 36-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 50-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Gouverneur and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Ogdensburg Free Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg Free Academy will both be playing St. Lawrence Central the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Larries at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will host them at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
