Seymour had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They breezed by the Petrolia Pirates to the tune of 70-25. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Petrolia saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Lands posted four points and six rebounds.

Seymour's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Petrolia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-56 defeat against Nocona on the 11th. As for Petrolia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-40 loss against Archer City on the 10th.
