Game recap: Mead High School Football Team defeats Berthoud

LONGMONT, Colo. - Kyle Couch ran for two touchdowns and Thomas Jenkins added two as well as Mead (Longmont, Colo.) beat Berthoud (Colo.) 42-20 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Couch in the first quarter, the Maverick led 22-7 at the half.

Mead expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Jenkins.

Mead (5-0) will play a 3A Tri-Valley game against Northridge next week, while Berthoud (1-4) will take on Roosevelt also in a 3A Tri-Valley game.
