Behind the strength of its come-from-behind victory over previous No. 15 Warren Central, Carmel avenged its only loss of the season and has surged into the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Carmel previously lost 22-20 to Warren Central, a talent-laden team that has been ranked in the Xcellent 25 all season. Now the favorite to capture Indiana's 5A crown, Carmel still needs to clear a major hurdle in Ben Davis, a team that it has already defeated once this season.

Also entering the rankings this week in Skyline. Following early wins against teams from Tennessee and Florida, Skyline has feasted on competition from the Lone Star State, allowing a mere 28 points over that stretch.
