Baseball Recap: Mascenic Regional Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mascenic Regional couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Concord Christian Kingsmen by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Vikings were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Kingsmen's pitchers proved too tough.

The defeat snapped Mascenic Regional's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-5 record. As for Concord Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

Mascenic Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concord Christian, they will take on Woodsville on Wednesday. The last three games the Engineers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
