Basketball Game Preview: New Manchester Jaguar vs. South Paulding Spartans

New Manchester is on a six-game streak of home wins, while South Paulding is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The New Manchester Jaguar will welcome the South Paulding Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Manchester knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 matches -- so hopefully South Paulding likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, New Manchester didn't have too much trouble with Douglas County as they won 83-64. Given the Jaguar's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Tigers are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, South Paulding made off with a 56-55 win over Kennesaw Mountain.

New Manchester is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for South Paulding, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

New Manchester won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by South Paulding 61-60. Does New Manchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Paulding turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
