Baseball Recap: Neuqua Valley Comes Up Short

Neuqua Valley lost against Naperville Central last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 12-5 to the Redhawks. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sam Widloe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Zach Chiz was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Neuqua Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Naperville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

While Neuqua Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
