Football Recap: Cedar Shoals Takes a Loss

Cedar Shoals lost against Madison County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jaguars were outmatched by the Red Raiders and fell 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 145th).

Cedar Shoals' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Madison County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cedar Shoals will face off against rival Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Madison County is set to square off against their familiar foe Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
