Basketball Game Preview: Kenwood Bluebirds vs. Severna Park Falcons

The Kenwood Bluebirds will venture away from home to square off against the Severna Park Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Severna Park took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kenwood, who comes in off a win.

Kenwood is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Overlea on Wednesday. Kenwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over Overlea.

Kenwood found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Ullah, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Mofe Oriade was another key player, putting up six points and 15 rebounds.

Kenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Severna Park came up short against Severn School on Monday and fell 42-33. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Severna Park now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Kenwood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
