Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mansfield Summit, Lancaster was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Newman Smith Trojans 2-1. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Micheala Bradford paced Lancaster's offense, picking up nine kills. Bradford got some help from Cydnee Patt and her 18 assists. Jurnee Cox controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Newman Smith, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Wilmer-Hutchins on the 21st. As for Newman Smith, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Seagoville on the 21st.
