Softball Recap: Milford Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Milford hadn't done well against Hollis-Brookline recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Spartans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cavaliers, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since April 18th.

Ari Wales was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Goldstein, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Milford's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Hollis-Brookline, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Milford is set to challenge their familiar foe Pelham at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hollis-Brookline will take on rival Oyster River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
