Volleyball Recap: Cosby Wins Going Away Against Clover Hill

Cosby won the last time they faced Clover Hill and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Titans put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Cosby won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.

Merynn Chavis paced Cosby's offense, picking up 13 kills. Chavis got some help from Ainsley Shoemaker and her 11 assists. Zeina Elkority controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory got Cosby back to even at 1-1. As for Clover Hill, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cosby will take on rival Powhatan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clover Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe Monacan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
