Sweet Grass County has gone 8-2 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Sweet Grass County Sheepherders will face off against the Jefferson Panthers at 2:30 p.m.

Sweet Grass County heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup last Saturday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shepherd. The Sheepherders' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Jefferson faced Ennis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Jefferson walked away with a 57-50 win over Ennis. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Jefferson's win came from a few key players Sweet Grass County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ryian Eveland, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, she posted four blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cameron Toney, who scored 19 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Sweet Grass County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
