Soccer Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado lost against Pebble Hills back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coronado Thunderbirds came up short against the Pebble Hills Spartans, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Spartans are ranked 11th).

Coronado has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. The victory (which was Pebble Hills' seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Coincidentally, Coronado and Pebble Hills will both be playing Montwood the next time they take the pitch. Pebble Hills will host Montwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Coronado will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th.
