Football Recap: Penns Valley Area Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Penns Valley Area fell victim to Philipsburg-Osceola and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Mountaineers and fell 39-0. The Rams lost against the Mountaineers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-21 score last time.

Carter Ironside threw for 118 yards on 12 of 27 attempts. Emery Reed was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Cael Smith rushed for 34 yards.

Philipsburg-Osceola got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colton Chapman out in front who rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns. Chapman also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making six total tackles. Another signal caller making a difference was Archer Baughman, who threw for 165 yards and one TD on only 12 passes.

Penns Valley Area is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, their record is now 3-1.
