Baseball Game Preview: Cleveland Indians vs. Willis Wildkats

Cleveland hasn't had much luck against Willis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cleveland Indians will welcome the Willis Wildkats at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Cleveland is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Grand Oaks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since March 8, 2024.

Cleveland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Romo, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Willis' offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar Ridge on Friday. The Wildkats haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Willis, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Cleveland might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Willis in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
