Basketball Game Preview: Switzerland County Pacers vs. Rising Sun Shiners

Switzerland County and Rising Sun are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Switzerland County Pacers will take on the Rising Sun Shiners at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Switzerland County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Saturday, Switzerland County humbled Trimble County with a 64-25 victory. That's two games straight that the Pacers have won by exactly 39 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Switzerland County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Todd, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Todd a new career-high in rebounds. Isaac Williams was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rising Sun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 59-51 to Jac-Cen-Del.

Switzerland County will have to contain Brody Morris as he made an impact in Rising Sun's last game. He posted 22 points along with seven boards and five assists. Morris' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dj Williams, who had 14 points.

Rising Sun's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Switzerland County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Switzerland County beat Rising Sun 62-55 in their previous meeting back in February. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Morris, who went 8 of 12from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Switzerland County still be able to contain Morris? There's only one way to find out.
