Volleyball Recap: O'connor Wins High-Profile Match Against Eastlake

O'Connor faced Eastlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jaylyn Tuiasosopo paced O'Connor's offense, picking up 15 kills. Tuiasosopo got some help from Olivia Pena and her 27 assists. Pena was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

O'Connor's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 22-3.

O'Connor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Harlan on the 2nd. As for Eastlake, they will head out on the road to take on Burges at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
