Softball Recap: Appleton West Comes Up Short

Appleton West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Kimberly Papermakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Papermakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in April.

Appleton West's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Kimberly, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1-1.

Appleton West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-5 defeat against Oshkosh West on the 5th. As for Kimberly, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-7 loss against Stevens Point on the 5th.
