Soccer Game Preview: Battle Creek vs. Richland

The Battle Creek Grizzlies will take on the Richland Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Battle Creek, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Battle Creek made easy work of Culleoka and carried off a 6-1 win. Battle Creek might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Richland's offense. They fell just short of Lawrence County by a score of 1-0 two weeks ago. The defeat continues a trend for Richland in their meetings with Lawrence County: they've now lost four in a row.

Battle Creek pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.
