Softball Recap: Tolsia Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Martin County on Friday, Tolsia came back down to earth. The Rebels took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mingo Central Miners on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 16-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Carly Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Cloey Horn, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Tolsia's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for Mingo Central, their record now sits at 4-6.

Coming up, Tolsia will be playing in front of their home fans against Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mingo Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Independence at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
