Munster was led to victory by Hays Sam, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Tuesday. Highland had no answer to Sam as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
Sam's strong effort led Munster over Highland and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
