Soccer Recap: Purvis Takes a Loss

Purvis lost against Sumrall back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tornadoes came up short against the Bobcats, falling 7-1. Purvis have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Purvis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Sumrall, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purvis will challenge Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Purvis will be up against Lawrence County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sumrall, they will take on Harrison Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrison Central's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Sumrall's offense will have their work cut out for them.
