Softball Recap: El Segundo Extends Winning Streak to Six

El Segundo had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They came out on top against the Los Altos Conquerors by a score of 5-2.

Jacy Lindsay spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Carter Cswaykus was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Sienna Mayer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

El Segundo's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Coming up, El Segundo will challenge Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. El Segundo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Los Altos, they have already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Nogales on the 18th.
