Basketball Game Preview: Hurley Northstars vs. Johnston Speedboys

After both having extra time off, the Hurley Northstars and the Johnston Speedboys will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Hurley's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Johnston has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Two weeks ago, Hurley earned a 51-44 win over Wright.

Meanwhile, Johnston came up short against Ewen-Trout Creek two weeks ago and fell 43-33.

Hurley's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Johnston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hurley was able to grind out a solid win over Johnston when the teams last played back in January of 2020, winning 61-52. Will Hurley repeat their success, or does Johnston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
